!NK && P3N

This weeks blog entry is all about ink and pen drawings. I really like this one because I find the use of pen amazing in all works I am going to include. I myself prefer pen and ink over pencil. I like the final line it gives, it makes me strive to get it right the first time, or figure out a way to include my mistake.
"The pen is mightier than the sword."

All following art has the medium of either Pen or Ink.

The Uncommonly Gentleman by Billy Martin [ AKA Bloodzilla-Billy ]
Found @DeviantART.com
Image Size: 368KB - Resolution: 461x850
I find the use of hashmark and cross hatching very nice. I love it, and besides, it's Edward Scissorhands!

Decay by Koulin [ Real name is unsure ]
Found @DeviantART.com
Image size: 2.1MG - Resolution: 1200x1711
I really like this one, all done in pen. It's a very interesting concept, and I adore the Gothic-esque style. The doll is well done, being able to see her bending joints, and the skeleton is very well detailed. I'm not an anatomy major, so I can't say anything about the accuracy, but I love it nonetheless!

Ink by Natalie Kelsey [ AKA DragonWinter ]
Found @DeviantART.com
Image Size: 446KB - Resolution: 1440x900
And to bring it a bit abstract; Ink by Natalie. This is a very lovely image. I find the lines .. Interesting. I haven't much to say about this piece, I just really enjoy looking at it. I enjoy the fact the pen she had used [ or I assume that's what it is ] was incorporated into the image its self. Very clean lines and clearly detailed.

There were a few images I wish I could have used, but they had colour in them and I was unsure if I could add them to the main article, so I will give them recognition below.

That's all for this post. Thank you for readting!!

Assignment; Week One. The Power Of Three.

So this week we're asked to take three different art styles and show them around. The following are all artist on DeviantART.com that I watch.

Alexandria Burchett : AKA Queesting
Title: Flower
Image Size: 121KB : Resolution: 1032x992
Medium: Pencil
Alex is a friend of mine, her art use to be heavily influenced by Japanese anime and manga, but now she draws in this more cartoonist style. Western, as I would call it.

Nicolien Beerens : AKA Cataclysm-X
Title: Small Blessings
Image Size: 326KB : Resolution: 719x488
The sketch itself is about 0.6" x 1" -- 1.5cm x 2.5cm
Medium: Green Pencil
I don't know Nicolien personally, but her art has intrigued me a bit. She does a lot of real life sketches of music and actors/tresses. She also does teeennniiee tiiiinnnyyyy pictures. Like this one!

Unlike all the others, I only have a user name: Forte-girl7
Title: Portal: Space?
Image Size: 1.2MB : Resolution: 3300x2400
Medium: Digital [ Unspecified ]
Forte is one of the artist that like to conceal her name. She addresses herself as "Piffle", but someone once called her "Fortley" and she asked them not to use her real name. But I'm unsure of her real name, so I'll call her Forte. Now, she's also western influenced and cartoon-ie, but unlike Alex she isn't traditional medium. She also has softer curves to her characters and had a different way to go about her drawings.

Jef Toon 01; Twisted Princess

http://Jeftoon01.Deviantart.com/
This is a cartoonist that I watch on DeviantART. He's rather interesting, in some disturbing ways. I really like his "Twisted Princess" series.

He's also got this great "Femme Fatal" series. This is "Toxic Flower".

Jeftoon01 is really named "Jeffrey Thomas" and can be found at DeviantART. He's really interesting and I really recommend checking him out.

Beware, he's pretty awesome. Though, you should also watch out if you're not into the "disturbia" scene.
